This journey is a personal invitation into the living traditions of Rajasthan, born from genuine human connections and a deep passion for its musical heritage. Travelers will explore the intimate and human side of India through private gatherings in local homes, village meetings with musicians, and academic exchanges in Jaipur. The itinerary centers on exceptional authenticity, moving beyond conventional tourism to offer a deep cultural immersion. From the sacred Sufi music of Ajmer to the ancient sounds of the desert in Hamira, this trip connects guests with the artists who keep the soul of Rajasthan alive.

Travel schedule

Day 1

Departure from home for the flight to Jaipur.

Day 2

Arrival at Jaipur Airport, transfer to Hotel Dev Mahal, and an evening of traditional Rajasthani folk music and dance.

Day 3

Sightseeing in Jaipur, including Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort, and the Anokhi Museum.

Day 4

Cultural exchange at Poornima University, featuring lecture-demonstrations on Rajasthani musical traditions.

Day 5

Exploration of Jaipur’s Old City, followed by a Bollywood dance workshop and an Indian cooking class.

Day 6

Travel to Mandawa via Nawalgarh to view historic frescoed havelis.

Day 7

Dhamaal Musical Carnival immersion, learning traditional drumming and celebrating with local villagers.

Day 8

Rural immersion in Barli with a stay at a 350-year-old fort hotel and a village heritage walk.

Day 9

Excursion to Ajmer for Sufi music immersion with renowned Qawwali artists and a visit to Dargah Sharif.

Day 10

Travel to the “Blue City” of Jodhpur, visiting the Sambhali Trust NGO and enjoying a local culinary experience.

Day 11

First day at the Sacred Spirit Festival at Mehrangarh Fort, exploring spiritual and traditional music.

Day 12

Second day of the Sacred Spirit Festival with a curated program of devotional and classical concerts.

Day 13

Travel to the “Golden City” of Jaisalmer to explore its UNESCO-listed fortified architecture.

Day 14

Hamira village excursion for desert music, a shared dinner with artists, and a kamaicha workshop.

Day 15

Flight from Jaisalmer to Delhi, settling into the trendy Hauz Khas Village.

Day 16

Transfer to Delhi Airport for the return flight.
