Day 1 Depart from your home destination airport – Delhi airport

Today you’ll begin your adventure with a flight from your home airport to Delhi, the vibrant capital of India.

Day 2 Arrival Delhi airport – Delhi

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met at the arrivals hall by your English-speaking driver who will take you to your comfortable 3-star guesthouse. In the afternoon, you will head to the old city of Delhi. Here you will visit the Red Fort, also known as Lal Qila. This iconic monument, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture from the 17th century, made of red sandstone and featuring impressive structures. After exploring the fort, you will hop on a rickshaw for a tour of Chandni Chowk, home to the largest spice market in Asia. In the evening, you will drive to India Gate, an imposing war memorial that is beautifully illuminated at sunset. Take a relaxing stroll through the extensive gardens here.

Day 3 Delhi – Agra 250 km – 4 hours drive

After breakfast, drive to Agra to visit Agra Fort, one of the most beautiful Mughal forts in India. In the late afternoon, you will be taken to Mehtab Bagh for a beautiful view of the Taj Mahal at sunset. You will spend the night in a charming boutique homestay a few minutes walk from the Taj Mahal.

Day 4 Agra – Bharatpur 70 km – 1,5 hours drive

Early morning visit to Taj Mahal. After breakfast drive to Bharatpur (City of Victory) and explore Fatehpur Sikri which was built in the second half of the 16th century by Emperor Akbar and was the capital of the Mughal Empire for only about 10 years. The complex of monuments and temples, all in a uniform architectural style, includes one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid. During the day you arrive at your comfortable 3 star hotel with swimming pool.

Day 5 Bharatpur – Ranthambore 250 km – 5 hours drive

Early morning visit to Keoladeo National Park. You will make a unique exploration tour by rickshaw. This UNESCO World Heritage Park is known for its exceptional biodiversity and is a paradise for bird lovers. With more than 370 bird species, including rare and migratory species, it is one of the most important bird sanctuaries in India. After breakfast you will head to Ranthambore National Park, famous for its spectacular wildlife and picturesque landscapes. This park offers an unforgettable experience with the opportunity to see the majestic Bengal tiger and other wild animals in their natural habitat. You will spend the night in an atmospheric resort with rooms in authentic Rajasthani style. The afternoon is at your leisure. At the end of the afternoon you will be picked up at your hotel for a safari.

Day 6 Ranthambore

Early in the morning you will go on a safari. Back to the hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon you can visit the Ranthambore Fort or relax by the pool. Overlooking the national park, the Ranthambore Fort is a historical masterpiece with a rich history dating back to the 10th century. This fort, a World Heritage Site, is an impressive example of Rajput architecture and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Within the fort walls you will find ancient temples, imposing gates and beautiful palaces that provide a glimpse into the past of this region. In the late afternoon you will go on another safari.

Day 7 Ranthambore – Barli 175 km – 4 hours drive

Early in the morning, make a final safari in Ranthambore. After breakfast, drive to Barli. The village is known for its peaceful atmosphere and charming surroundings. You will spend the night here in a fort hotel. This imposing fort, located on a strategic hill, offers a fascinating glimpse into the rich history and architecture of the region. Relax by the pool in the afternoon or take a walk through the village. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 8 Barli

A day to relax in this beautiful 4-star hotel. Optionally, you can make a birdwatching safari or undergo an Ayurvedic massage. A cooking demonstration inspired by the royal recipes of Barli is also possible at an additional cost. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 9 Barli – Bera 230 km – 5 hours drive

After breakfast, drive to Bera and stay in a safari lodge in the middle of the wilderness. In the Bera and Jawai region, you will experience a unique symbiosis between man and nature. Here you will find one of the few places where leopards live in harmony with the local people. While enjoying safaris in Jawai, you will admire the majestic leopards that effortlessly adapt to the landscape and the daily life of the local communities. This breathtaking environment offers an unparalleled opportunity to observe these magnificent predators in their natural habitat, amidst the impressive rock formations and picturesque water reservoirs.

During your stay, lunch, dinner, breakfast and (alcoholic) drinks are included.

Relax by the pool in the afternoon. In the afternoon you will take part in your first safari.

Day 10 Bera

Early in the morning you will leave for an exciting safari. After your adventure you will return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast and a tasty lunch. Then relax by the pool, enjoy the peace and the breathtaking views. At the end of the day you will go on safari again and experience the magic of nature in the golden light of the late afternoon. After your safari you will gather around the campfire for drinks. End the day with a dinner at the lodge.

Day 11 Bera – Little rann of kutch 280 km – 6 hours drive

After your last safari in Jawai, you will depart for Zainabad, where you will stay in a charming 3-star eco-friendly cottage. Upon arrival, you can relax and freshen up before your first safari in the Wild Ass Sanctuary. This unique landscape is known for its rare wild ass and a rich diversity of bird life. After your exploration, you will end the day with dinner at the lodge.

Day 12 Little rann of kutch

Early in the morning, depart for another exciting jeep safari, where you will have the opportunity to further explore the unique wildlife of the Wild Ass Sanctuary. After breakfast, drive to the picturesque village of Modhera where you will visit the impressive Modhera Temple. Dedicated to local gods and goddesses, the temple is famous for its intricate carvings and colorful frescoes that depict stories from ancient mythologies and local folklore. The serene ambience of the temple, coupled with the fine detail of the carvings and sculptures, offers a deeper appreciation of the spiritual and artistic traditions of Gujarat. Continue your journey to Patan, famous for the impressive Rani-Ki-Vav stepwell. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a masterpiece of Indian architecture, with its beautifully decorated steps and underground water reservoir testifying to a rich historical and cultural legacy. You will be impressed by the artistry and craftsmanship that has gone into this ancient structure. Drive back to the lodge for dinner at the end of the day.

Day 13 Little rann of kutch – Jamnagar 250 km – 5 hours drive

After your final safari in Little Rann of Kutch, you will depart for Jamnagar, where you will stay in a charming Victorian 3-star heritage hotel. At the end of the day, you will go on a bird watching safari at Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary. This hidden gem is a beautiful wetland area famous for its diverse bird population. Here you will find a beautiful mix of freshwater and brackish water habitats, providing a haven for an impressive variety of birds. From colorful flamingos to rare reed warblers, the beauty and diversity of the sanctuary will absolutely fascinate you.

Day 14 Jamnagar – Sasan-Gir 200 km – 5 hours drive

After a possible final safari in Khijadiya or an exploration of the Narara Marine National Park (both optional), you travel to Sasan-Gir, where you will feast your eyes on the rare Asiatic lions. Although the most famous inhabitants of the park are Asiatic lions, there are plenty of other animals to spot such as Chital, Chinkara (Gazelle) four-horned antelopes, leopards, Nilgai antelopes, spotted deer, wild boar, wild asses, monkeys, parrots and peacocks. You will stay in a 4-star hotel with a swimming pool, where you can relax in a comfortable environment. In the late afternoon you will go on an exclusive safari with a private jeep, giving you the chance to spot the majestic Asiatic lions in their natural habitat. This safari offers you an intimate and personal experience, allowing you to observe the impressive lions up close as they move through the beautiful landscape of Sasan-Gir.

Day 15 Sasan-Gir

Early in the morning you will go on safari again. After this exciting experience you will enjoy breakfast at the hotel and can relax by the pool, or visit the charming town of Gondal, famous for its historic forts and lively markets. At the end of the day you can optionally join another safari, giving you an extra chance to experience nature up close. Alternatively you can opt for a birdwatching walk, where you can admire the rich bird population of the region. Please note that these activities are not included in the price and can be booked at an additional cost. Both options offer a unique way to end your day and deepen your adventure.

Day 16 Sasan-Gir – Velavadar 220 km – 5 hours drive

After breakfast, you will depart for Velavadar for your last safari in Black Buck National Park. You will stay in a luxurious 4-star palace hotel in Bhavnagar, where you can enjoy elegant and comfortable surroundings. In the afternoon, you will go on an exclusive safari, where you can admire the impressive black bucks and other fascinating animals up close. This unique experience offers a beautiful conclusion to your safari adventures in one of India’s most beautiful nature reserves.

Day 17 Velavadar – Ahmedabad 150 km – 3 hours drive

After breakfast, depart for Ahmedabad, your final destination of this unforgettable journey. Ahmedabad, the largest city in the state of Gujarat, is known for its rich history and vibrant culture. After checking in to your luxurious heritage hotel, which beautifully reflects the charm of the city, take a fascinating heritage walk through the old city.

On this walking tour, you will discover the historic architecture and bustling markets of Ahmedabad, a city famous for its heritage of ancient mosques, colorful courtyards, and imposing temples. You will explore the impressive Adalaj stepwell, and admire the magnificent havelis with their intricate woodwork and architectural splendor. This walk offers an in-depth insight into the cultural and historical richness of Ahmedabad and is a wonderful conclusion to your India tour.

Day 18 Ahmedabad – Return flight home

Today you will be transferred to Ahmedabad airport in the morning or early afternoon. From there you will start your journey back home. We will ensure that you arrive at the airport in plenty of time so that you have enough time to check in and go through the security procedures.

Your flight home will likely include a transfer. After departing Ahmedabad, you will fly to an international hub or stopover airport, where you will connect to your next flight. This transfer can take some time, so expect to have a longer travel time on this day.

Day 19 Arrival at your home destination airport

  • If you are planning to visit the Taj Mahal, please note that the monument is closed on Fridays. For the best experience, I recommend planning your visit on another day, preferably during sunrise. The warm morning light that falls on the marble white building creates a breathtaking view. Make sure that your overnight stay in Agra does not fall on Thursday to Friday to not miss this unique experience. Plan your travel dates and bookings carefully to make the most of your visit to this iconic landmark.
