Bhagoria Haat Festival, West Nimar (Khargon) and Jhabua: In the local language, Carnival is called the festival of love. The Bhagoria Haat Festival is celebrated with great pomp and show by the native people of Madhya Pradesh. It is a unique festival in which young girls and boys have the right to elope after choosing their life partner. During this festival, a boy and a girl apply red powder to their partner’s face if they like each other. Furthermore, they run away from the ground and parents cannot deny their relationship later. On the other hand, if the girl refuses the proposal, the boy runs after it to convince her for marriage.
