All set in the serene desert of Pushkar, Rajasthan.

Today you start your adventure with a (often evening) flight from your home airport to New Delhi, the vibrant capital of India.
Upon arrival at the airport you will be met by one of our English speaking drivers, who will take you to your charming 3 star guesthouse for a short rest.
In the afternoon, delve into the vibrant heart of Old Delhi. Wander the narrow alleys of Chandni Chowk and explore Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest wholesale spice market – an explosion of colours, smells and sounds that will delight all your senses. As you make your way past piles of spices, traditional shops and bustling stalls, feel the age-old energy of this historic neighbourhood.
If you still have energy left at the end of the day, you can end the evening with a visit to the beautifully lit India Gate. Old Delhi also comes alive in the evening – with the highlight being a visit to the impressive Jama Masjid, one of the largest and most atmospheric mosques in India, which takes on an almost magical appearance in the evening light.
After breakfast, you will depart for Jaipur, the colorful capital of Rajasthan. The city is known for its beautiful palaces, lively markets and many pink buildings that have earned it the nickname “Pink City”. Since 2019, Jaipur has even been on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Along the way, you will stop at the impressive Amber Fort, which sits atop a hill overlooking the landscape. Afterwards, you will visit the Anokhi Museum, where you can learn about the traditional block printing technique – a must for anyone interested in crafts and textiles.
During the day you will arrive in Jaipur and check in to a comfortable 3-star hotel. The evening is free to spend: explore the old city, taste local dishes, or relax in the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, start the day with a visit to two iconic sights of Jaipur. First, admire the Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of the Winds, with its unique facade full of small windows behind which the ladies of the court used to watch the street life. Then, walk through the impressive City Palace, a beautiful complex of courtyards, gardens and museums that is still partly inhabited by the royal family.
In the morning you will depart for Pushkar, a holy city for Hindus and an important place of pilgrimage. The coming days the famous Pushkar Camel Fair will take place here, a colorful and lively festival full of tradition and activity.
Upon arrival in Pushkar, check in to a charming 3-star hotel. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the fair: you see camel traders, pilgrims, performances, market stalls and rituals. At the end of the afternoon, you can admire the sunset at the lake.
Rise early and head to the Pushkar Fairgrounds to see daily life begin. Traders tend to their camels, stalls are set up, pilgrims prepare for their rituals and the first visitors start to trickle in. It’s a special moment when you see the city awaken.
Afterwards, enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
The rest of the day is spent witnessing the festivities surrounding the Pushkar Camel Fair. All around you are processions, traditional competitions, musicians, market stalls and religious activities.
In the afternoon you will visit a local NGO supported by Heart of India Travel. Brett, the founder, will be happy to tell you more about his work and introduce you to members of the community. You will spend some time with the children and get an honest and direct insight into the lives of the people who live here.
After breakfast at the hotel, take a morning walk through the streets of Pushkar. The city is alive and the atmosphere is unique: pilgrims, travelers and locals gather around the lake, at temples and on the streets.
Today, the Pushkar Camel Fair is also the focus. In the afternoon, you will once again immerse yourself in the lively bustle of the festival
In the evening you will return to the exhibition grounds to continue the festivities.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Jojawar, a still undiscovered pearl of Rajasthan. During the drive, the landscape slowly changes: in the east you will see the green Aravalli hills, while in other parts rocky hills and rural farms dominate the view. A special region that shows another face of Rajasthan.
In the afternoon you will arrive at an attractive 3-star heritage hotel with a swimming pool, where you can relax.
At the end of the day you will go on safari through the area. You will drive along vast fields and hills and experience nature up close, while enjoying a beautiful sunset along the way to end the day.
Early in the morning you will take a village walk. As you walk through the narrow streets, you will see how the village slowly comes to life. You will meet residents, see crafts in action and get an authentic picture of daily life in rural Rajasthan.
After the walk you can enjoy an extensive breakfast at the hotel.
In the afternoon you will go on safari, visiting the Rabari, a traditional camel herding community. You will drive past their settlements, through small hamlets and farms, and experience a world where life still runs in a quiet, age-old rhythm. There will be plenty of opportunity to get to know the people and their way of life.
After breakfast, depart for Jodhpur, a city famous for its imposing palaces, forts, temples and surrounding desert landscape. Jodhpur is also called the “Blue City” because of the indigo-colored walls of the houses in the old city and the “Sunny City” because of its desert climate. The old city is surrounded by a city wall from the 16th century, making it a fascinating and well-preserved destination.
In the afternoon you will arrive in Jodhpur and check in to a charming 3-star hotel.
Later in the day you will explore the narrow alleys of the old blue city, where you will experience the unique atmosphere of everyday life. You will see the famous blue houses, meet locals and get a good impression of the culture and life in this beautiful city.
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Mehrangarh Fort, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Blue City. The fort, which dates back to the 15th century, is known for its impressive architecture and is one of the largest and most beautiful forts in Rajasthan. You will have time to explore the fort and its historical features.
In the afternoon, visit the iconic Toorji ka Jhalra, an ancient stepwell known for its architectural splendor. Then, head to the Clocktower Market, also known as Sardar Market, where you can experience local life and soak up the vibrant market atmosphere. End the afternoon with a visit to Jaswant Thada, a beautiful white marble monument that overlooks the city and its surroundings.
After an early breakfast, you’ll depart for Jaisalmer. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at the hotel and have time to rest and relax.
Jaisalmer, also known as the Golden City because of its many yellow sandstone buildings, has a unique charm, especially the historic Jaisalmer Fort on the hill. You’ll stay in a cozy 3-star hotel.
In the late afternoon, you’ll enjoy a peaceful sunset at Gadisar Lake, where you can take in the serene surroundings.
After breakfast at the hotel, wander through the narrow alleys of the old city and experience the unique blend of medieval and modern life. Explore Nathmal ki Haveli, a beautiful and detailed building known for its intricate architecture.
In the afternoon, explore the maze of narrow alleys surrounding Jaisalmer Fort. Visit Patwon-ki-Haveli, a famous and beautiful mansion that is a fine example of the detailed architecture that makes Jaisalmer so special.
Later in the day, you will head to the sand dunes of the Thar Desert, where you will witness the sunset and enjoy cultural performances that bring the local traditions and music to life. After this magical experience, you will spend the night in the desert, where you will spend the night in a traditional camp and fully experience the peace and beauty of the Thar Desert.
This morning you will depart for Bikaner, an often unjustly overlooked city in Rajasthan, but with a wealth of remarkable sights. You will stay in a charming 3-star homestay.
You will arrive in Bikaner in the afternoon and have the opportunity to relax for a while.
Later in the afternoon and evening, visit the Rampuria Haveli, a magnificent architectural masterpiece in the heart of the city. This iconic structure was built by the prosperous Rampuria family, prominent traders in Bikaner.
Then you walk through the streets of Bikaner and experience the daily life of the locals.
After breakfast, visit Junagarh Fort to admire its majestic architecture. Explore the impressive courtyards, palaces and balconies of this historic structure and discover the rich history that the fort carries.
In the afternoon, visit the Karni Mata Temple (also called the Rat Temple), famous for the thousands of rats that roam freely. This sacred place is a special experience and offers a fascinating insight into the spiritual practices of the local people.
After breakfast, you will depart for a less visited part of Rajasthan, the Shekhawati region, known for its extraordinary painted havelis. You will stay in a charming 3-star heritage hotel.
In the afternoon, you will stroll through the largely pedestrian-friendly bazaar, where you will have the chance to soak up the local atmosphere. You will visit some beautiful havelis, famous for their detailed murals and historical charm.
After breakfast, depart for Mandawa, a charming town known for its beautiful havelis and quaint streets.
In the afternoon, visit Fatehpur, famous for its more than 100 havelis. One of the highlights of the city is the haveli of Nadine le Prince, which is not to be missed. This haveli is known for its unique architecture and beautiful murals.
After breakfast, you will depart directly to Delhi airport for your return flight home. Depending on the flight time, you may have the opportunity for a short visit to one of the attractions in Delhi.
